Applications | Prednisone arrested PBL in the G1 phase of cell cycle, and inhibited IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) expression as well as IL-2 secretion. In phytohaemaglutinin (PHA)-activated human PBL, Prednisone significantly increased apoptosis. Moreover, Prednisone exhibited stronger apoptotic effect on CD8+ T lymphocytes than on CD4+ T lymphocytes. All these effects were shown in dose- and time-dependent manners. |
