Cortagine is a specificcorticotropin-releasing factor receptor subtype 1 (CRF1)agonist with anIC₅₀of 2.6 nM for rCRF1. Cortagine is an anxiolytic and antidepressive drug in the mouse model^[1].

IC50: 2.6 nM (rCRF1)^[1]

Cortagine inhibits rCRF1 (EC₅₀=0.18 nM) and mCRF_2β(EC₅₀=16 nM) in transfected HEK-293 cells^[1].

Cortagine (30, 100, 300 ng; i.c.v.) significantly decreases the percent time spent in the open arms and number of open arm entries of the elevated plus-maze (EPM) test in nine-week-old male C57BL/6J mice^[1].
