将编码人促性腺激素释放激素(GnRH)的前体蛋白的cDNA序列构建进表达载体转入细菌中,在细菌中合成含有56个氨基酸的GnRH相关肽(GAP)。GAP是催乳素分泌的有效抑制剂,可以刺激促性腺激素的释放。对GAP序列相关多肽的主动免疫可导致催乳素分泌的增加。
促性腺激素释放激素(GnRH)在脊椎动物繁殖过程中发挥重要作用。从下丘脑神经元释放的十肽控制体内促性腺激素水平,其反过来调节性腺状态。促性腺激素释放激素(GnRH)在脊椎动物中广泛表达并具有保守性,显示了它的重要性。此外,促性腺激素释放激素相关肽(GAP)与GnRH共同分泌释放进入垂体门静脉血液。
