Ganglioside GD2is a glycosphingolipid that contains two sialic acid residues linked to an inner galactose unit. It is frequently expressed on tumor cells of neuroectodermal origin, including neuroblastomas.1Ganglioside GD2Mixture (bovine buttermilk) is a semi-synthetic mixture of ganglioside GD2produced from buttermilk and is thus free from potential contamination with transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (TSE). This mixture contains ganglioside GD2molecular species with fatty acyl chains of variable lengths.
