Choline Alfoscerate, formerly known as Alpha GPC and L-Alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine, is a component of PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINES or LECITHINS, in which the two hydroxy groups of GLYCEROL are esterified with fatty acids. Choline Alfoscerate is a precursor in the biosynthesis of brain phospholipids and increases the bioavailability of choline in nervous tissue.
