Mivobulin, formerly known as CI-980; NSC-613863; NSC-635370; NSC-613862; NSC-350386; is a tubulin inhibitor potentially for the treatment of glioma, malignant melanoma, ovarian cancer, prostate. CI-980 acts at the colchicine-binding site, which is distinct from the vinca-alkaloid binding site. CI-980 increased the amplitude of both cell shortening and the Ca signal.
