Nebicapone, formerly known as BIA-3202, is a catechol-O-methyltransferase inhibitor potentially for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Nebicapone dose dependently and significantly decreased COMT activity. Nebicapone also increased systemic exposure to levodopa and improved motor response.
