TC-E 5003 (TC-E5003) is a novel and potent protein arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1) inhibitor with anticancer effects. It inhibits PRMT1 with IC50 of 1.5 μM, and exhibits no inhibitory effects on CARM1 and Set7/9 methyltransferases.TC-E 5003 inhibits growth of MCF7a breast cancer cells and LNCaP prostate cancer cells.
