SOWAHD (Sosondowah Ankyrin Repeat Domain Family Member D) is located on human chromosome Xq24. Structurally, the encoded SOWAHD protein is reported to be 33803 Da in mass. The SOWAHD (also known as ANKRD58) gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, cow, mouse, and rat. 199 organisms have orthologs with human gene SOWAHD. An important paralog of this gene is SOWAHA.
