Background:

Hydrocortisone aceponate is a corticosteroid.^1,2Topical application of hydrocortisone aceponate (0.0584%) reduces lesion size and pruritis in cats with allergic dermatitis.¹It also induces remission and increases time to relapse in dogs with spontaneous atopic dermatitis.²Formulations containing hydrocortisone aceponate have been used in the treatment of veterinary dermatoses.
