Background:

Fulvestrant 9-sulfone is an estrogen receptor antagonist and a derivative of the selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) fulvestrant .¹It binds to estrogen receptor α (ERα) and ERβ and inhibits estrogen-induced gene expression in a reporter assay in Ishikawa endometrial cells expressing an estrogen response element (ERE) reporter when used at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 100 µM.
