Background:

Bisucaberin is a siderophore and bacterial metabolite that has been found inA. haloplanktisand has anticancer activity.^1,2It inhibits the growth of L1210 and 1MC carcinoma cells (IC₅₀s = 9.7 and 12.7 µM, respectively) and sensitizes fibrosarcoma 1023 cells to macrophage-mediated cytolysis.
