Background:

Stearoyl ethanolamide-d₃is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of stearoyl ethanolamide by GC-or LC-mass spectrometry. Stearoyl ethanolamide is a member of the family of fatty N-acyl ethanolamines collectively called anandamides. Stearoyl ethanolamide is the most abundant of several fatty acid ethanolamides produced by the PLD hydrolysis of mouse neuroblastoma cell membrane phospholipids.¹The specific role of stearoyl ethanolamide in the cannabinergic system is still to be elucidated.
