Background:

DL-Aspartic acid-d₃is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of aspartic acid by GC- or LC-MS. DL-Aspartic acid is a racemic mixture of the proteinogenic amino acid L-aspartic acid and the non-proteinogenic amino acid D-aspartic acid . It has been used as a precursor in the synthesis of amino acid derivatives with thrombolytic and lead chelating activities.^1,2
