Pralidoxime Chloride (2-PAM chloride) is a useful anti-poisoning agent for the treatment of organophosphate poisoning. It binds to inactivated acetylcholinesterases and is used to combat organophosphates and nerve agent poisoning. 2-PAM is currently the only FDA approved oxime in the United States.
