L-DPPC, formerly known as 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC and L-Dipalmitoyl Lecithin, is a zwitterionic phosphoglyceride that can be used for the preparation of liposomal monolayers. L-DPPC incorporated liposomes have potential in establishing active immunotherapy with antigens exhibiting poor immunogenicity, such as glycosphingolipid antigens.
