Mycothiol is a glyco-inositol-cysteine that conjugates exogenous compounds for detoxication. It is the microbe equivalent of glutathione in the eukaryote, and is acted on by mycothiol disulfide reductase and mycothiol S-conjugate amidase and MDF dehydrogenase.
