Pizuglanstat is a novel and potent prostaglandin D synthase inhibitor with the potential for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). It inhibits human hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthases (H-PGDS) with an IC50 of 76 nM. Pizuglanstat can be used for myodegenerative disease research, such as muscular dystrophy. It was designed to dampen the inflammatory response in the muscles of DMD patients.
