UK-383367 (UK383367; UK 383367) is a novel and potent nonpeptide inhibitor of BMP-1 (bone morphogenetic protein 1, also called procollagen C-proteinase; PCP) with dermal anti-scarring activity. It inhibits BMP-1 with an IC50 of 44 nM. BMP1 is an enzyme involved in the cleavage and maturation of growth factors and ECM proteins.
