Apafant, formerly known as DE-081; WEB-2086; WEB-2086BS, is a platelet activating factor (PAF) inhibitor potentially for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis (AR). Apafant blocks eosinophil activation and is effective in the chronic phase of experimental allergic conjunctivitis in guinea pigs.
