Super Fluor 647 dye is a bright, far-red–fluorescent dye with excitation ideally suited for the 594 nm or 633 nm laser lines. For stable signal generation in imaging and flow cytometry, Super Fluor 647 dye is pH-insensitive over a wide molar range.Probes with high fluorescence quantum yield and high photostability allow detection of low-abundance biological structures with great sensitivity.

The spectra and filters of Alexa fluor 647 and Cy5 were matched. The total fluorescence intensity of Alexa fluor 647 secondary antibody conjugate was higher than that of Cy5 coupling compound of other companies. When combined with most proteins, oligonucleotides and nucleic acids, the fluorescence absorption spectrum of Alexa fluor 647 is very small compared with that of Cy5, so it emits stronger fluorescence at the same degree of substitution.
