T-0156 is a potent and selectivephosphodiesterasetype 5 (PDE5)inhibitor. T-0156 specifically inhibits the hydrolysis of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) byPDE5in a competitive manner (IC50=0.23 nM). T-0156 inhibitsPDE6(IC50=56 nM) and has low potencies againstPDE1,PDE2,PDE3, andPDE4(IC50>10 μM). T-0156 enhances the nitric oxide (NO)/cGMP pathway[1].
